Accessing old HDD / do I need a new OS for SSD / dual OS ? gaming computer builder

I have an old 2 TB HDD with Windows 7 on it. This is my current HDD with all of my documents, media, etc. on it.

I have recently gotten an SSD. I would like to put Windows 7 on the SSD but still be able to access media, etc. saved to the old HDD.

Do I need to get another copy of Windows?

How do I go about being able to access to media on the HD, while booting from the SSD?

I have another newer/larger HDD that's never been used either. I would like to use this as my "main" storage alongside the SSD, for new media, applications, etc. I only want to be able to access the old HDD to access/retrieve any documents I want from it.

I would also like to install a Linux OS (In addition to my main Windows OS) onto either the SSD, or the new HDD. How would I best go about doing this?
