Hello r/computers,
I hope you all are doing well. I am recently getting into the building of my own PC technology because I am a photographer/videographer and so building my own rig is the only way I can afford the power that I need to have a lag-free work flow.
My question for you all that I'd appreciate help with is regarding SSDs encased in a USB 3.0 enclosure. Per an old post on this sub, I was looking at the Samsung Evo series, but that is over $700 for 2TB. For those kinds of prices, I would just buy a Lacie Rugged, but I was hoping to get more than 2TB for $175. Perhaps there is something I'm not quite understanding – my DIY PC skills are nascent. If anyone can advise on what I'm missing or an affordable SSD options that's ideally available on Amazon I'd appreciate it.
Peace!
