Mute programms when another one makes a sound. (question) gaming computer builder

Hi reddit, I'm a computer science student and i edit videos as a hobby. During edditing i like to listen to music. However this can be a problem when i have to edit sound. Does anyone know if there is a setting/programme that lets you automatically mute programmes when another programme starts making sound. For example, when i start a skype call, skype automatically reduces the sound of windows media player by 60%. Is it possibe to completely mute my windows media player as soon as adobe premier pro CC starts producing any sound?

Using: Windows 10 premiere pro cc 2015 windows media player (or any other player that can be muted)
