Laptop for school and gaming gaming computer builder

Here's what I'm looking at

I'm looking to buy a new laptop for school. We're required to run multiple virtual machines, and my current laptop cannot keep up.

I like that this laptop has 16GB or RAM, compared to my current laptop, which has 8GB. It seems everything is a rather large upgrade over my current laptop.

As for gaming, I'm not looking to run everything on Ultra, and won't be sad if all the games won't run on high graphics. At the time, I really only have games like Skyrim, Fallout 3+NV, as well as some smaller indie games on my Steam account, so there isn't really much of a problem there. Just wondering if this laptop will be able to run games like Overwatch, Dishonored 2, and similar games well?

The total price after tax and all that is around ~$1,300, which is pretty much my spending limit. Although, that doesn't include any extended warranty, or a carrying case for it.

Would you say this is a good choice for me? Will it last me for about 5 or so years?
