Bought a condenser mic for my laptop to start making youtube videos. It came with a cord that ended with an audio jack so I had to buy an xlr cable that had a usb end. When i plug it in the red light on the usb glows red showing its on.
My computer recognizes the mic but when I go into properties and try speech recognition, it doesnt pick up anything. The level was already set to 100 too. There is no on/off switch on the microphone either.
Is my mic too strong for my laptop? Do I need to buy one of those usb power hubs for is there another issue im not seeing?
