My PC went into a "softlock" in general terms. Recently windows updates were failing half way in upon booting my PC, it would restart the PC and I could log in. I thought nothing of this at the time, a part of that because I rarely boot my PC.
One day when I launched my PC windows went into a error launch tab, where I could restart my PC or look into advanced options (Image recovery, factory reset, ect.), I tried to restart the PC when it came up again, than tried to factory reset it. This is where I belive it screwed up, because at 36% it failed. I than had to basicly restart my PC and when I launched it, nothing. It would just sit there with a flashing underscore.
After reading a few online posts and a recommendation from a few people I removed and replaced my CMOS battery, and now when I restart my PC it brings up the usuall "F1 for setup; F2 for default settings and proceed". But here is my issue, my PC does not allow me to press any keys on 3 different keyboards, thus softlocking it!
If anyone knows how to fix this issue please let me know.
I am using a cybertron Sniper 2 pc, but with a Nvidia grapics card. The three keyboards I used were two generic logitech keyboards and a corsair strafe keyboard.
