Unusable Extra RAM gaming computer builder

So had an old laptop lying around.. then decided to try to put its old 2gb ram on this laptop. which currently only has 4gb Im not sure how this works but, the system doesn't seem to recognize it. but cpu-z does. can anyone help me understand whats going on? ill post the screenies.. - http://imgur.com/a/3OxKq
