Computer not showing icons gaming computer builder

so as the title says my computer wont show icons its just showing a blank white thumbnail.

I've gone into settings and unchecked the box which says "always show icons and never thumbnails" but that doesn't do anything. I've also gone into performance options and unchecked the box show thumnails instead of icons

the photos are still there and not deleted when i go into them i can see them but i cant see the little preview of them Anyone able to help me?
