Processor/Motherboard replacement gaming computer builder

Hello, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to upgrade my dell Inspiron 15 laptop processor from an i3 to i5/i7. I haven't looked yet but I'm assuming the processor is soldered to the motherboard. I guess my question is, do they make replacement boards or would I be better off buying a new computer? I can't seem to find an answer on Google.
