Need Suggestions for Laptop HD gaming computer builder

Yesterday my 1TB Seagate Hybrid decided to die abruptly within a year of ownership Link to Story

This is the second time I've had issues with Seagate's hard drives within 2 years of ownership and I heavily rely on my laptop for work, uni & entertainment. So it's safe to say I'm taking my business elsewhere.

So talk to me people. I need something with adequate storage & speed - but it needs to be affordable.
