Im really trying to downsize and would like to get away from my gaming habit as Im finding it to be more of a distraction from classes. I had some decent laptops from 2008-2015 but they were quite bulky as well even at 5-7lbs. Then I built my first gaming PC (I now have an i-5 6600k, geforce gtx 1060). I travel a lot as well so a desktop is just a hassle. I feel that a tablet might help me stay on task a bit more but I worry about memory capacity and general computing speed.
Has anyone else made a transition like this? I was thinking either a lenovo thinkpad or a surface, or if I should maybe be a bit more conservative and go with a slimline laptop or compromise with a decent gaming laptop and a cheaper tablet while I'm on the go in lectures/traveling.
