Motherboard and CPU Compatibility Socket gaming computer builder

I've been looking at some PC parts because I want a new computer (duh). I've come up with the Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero motherboard and the Intel Core i7-7700K CPU. On the specs page, the motherboards CPU socket says Intel 1151 and on the CPU the socket says LGA1151

I was trying to figure out if they were, you know, compatible. But after trying to get an answer from Google, I went here instead to get it. Thanks.
