Locked out of laptop gaming computer builder

So a coworker gave me his Acer Aspire One D270 laptop today. He says he forgot the password to log-in. I've already tried to go in thru Safe Mode to reset the password. But, it still requires a password, in order to get in. Does anyone know of another way I could get in? Thanks.
