Hey guys. I've been using a Dell inspiron for about 5 years, and it's had the exact same keyboard layout that I had used my whole life. I was gifted a new laptop (super grateful) and am having major first world problems. The page-up and shift keys are swapped. I rarely have to use the page-up, but I obviously use the shift key regularly. This makes it harder for my pinky to reach the key since I have small hands. The extra stretch forces me to pull my hands from the normal "asdf jkl;" spot just to reach it. It's literally making all of my work and life a f*cking hell. I use my computer daily and also do writing on the side for a pretty well known fandom/nerd/enthusiast website.
Every time I go to type up anything I contemplate going to play out in traffic. Anybody have any tips for reversing a habit that has been ingrained for like 15 years? Or for setting up my keyboard to be like the way it was before?
