Alright. Here's the lowdown. Yesterday my wife's Windows 8.1 updated during use randomly. Since then, the laptop won't connect to the network. It can see it, but has limited connectivity. Here's more info: - network and sharing is saying that it's an unidentifiable network for both wifi and Ethernet - ipconfig says that both "media are disconnected" - Trying to connect to the router using the IP address with or without the Ethernet cable is "blocked" according to Chrome. Doesn't work even if I turn off antivirus or firewall.
The wireless card is a Killer 1525. Laptop is an Alienware something or other running Windows 8.1. I've changed settings up the wazoo with ipv4 and 6, etc. The drivers are all up to date, I have no idea what updates were installed. Barring a system refresh, what should I do? What can I do? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
