Possible TIFU? gaming computer builder

Hello all, This is my first computer post and I had a question. A couple days ago being April's fools I thought I would prank my friend and his new computer by rewiring his qled into the reset pins on the motherboard. My thinking was that the led would complete the reset circuit and cause the computer to restart constantly when turned on. Upon testing my theory I discovered the computer booted as normal so I wired everything back how it was and then turned up his fan speed in the BIOS because I didn't want to do any pranks that could damage the computer. thus to be clear I left the computer exactly how it was except for the changed default fan speed.

Now my friend says that his graphics card has no video output and blames me for breaking it. I told him exactly what I did and that I didn't think it could have caused his graphics card to go bad but he still thinks it's my fault. He know almost nothing about computers and believes I must have done something to mess it up.

I am no computer expert but I did build that computer for him and I don't see how what I did could have affected it. I will buy him a new part if it really is my fault but I just don't know it could be.

Are they any plausible alternative explanations for the graphics card suddenly not outputting?
