I have talked to the police, I have narrowed it down to the place it was taken from, and I am sure it was taken between a very specific time period based on who saw it last & when. I am hoping someone will be seen on a camera with my laptop, but it could be a long shot.
I have given so much good information, but if no one can be 100% seen with it then it could be for nothing.
Is there anything I can do regarding the serial number to see if it is taken into a shop and worked on, reformatted, etc?
I had a very difficult password on it, and it was password protected, so no average person can get into it. It was likely a college student that took it. So anyone that wanted to get into it would have to know computers very well.
