I need helpo gaming computer builder

so I have a HP pavillion g7 or 2240us. A past virus completely cleared everything from the HDD. It has booted into recovery mode. I also tried booting it up with boot disk USB. I don't want to spend money on a new HDD because i think there is a problem there. I have loaded windows 10 on the but, i didn't have any drivers. So i installed drivers and there was a FAT File error. Then today i tried to install a windows 8.1 boot up. I asked many friends and i don't know what to do. Please help
