back in 09-10 my dad bought a toshiba laptop for business purposes but he also let me use it from time to time, the specs are nice with a intel core i3, 4gb of memory/ram and a 500gb hdd hard drive which was high end back in the day but mid-range when you compare to todays laptops but the hard drive is still pretty high end today considering that the lowest amount of storage is 16-64 gb on brand new low end windows 10 laptops and the most is about 1tb on more expensive models so 500gb is right in the middle of that range.,
now when this was first bought it had windows 7 right out of the box which was pretty new at the time and it ran everything with a breeze, from basic web browsing to video streaming to playing most flash games and even some shockwave downloadable games this could handle it all with ease and with 500 gb of storage which right now only under 20% is used is huge compared to other models at the time and even holds up today, but with windows 7 it slowed down gradually to a crawl but when i upgraded to windows 10 a few months ago it speeded things up quite a bit and made it beyond usable again and have been using it since the upgrade., and my dad upgraded to an hp laptop so he handed it down to me and honestly besides it being a little bulky its a nice laptop and will be taking it to college in 2 years
in my honest opinion i can give this a 4.1/5, this particular model is the best in the series of s505's because one was windows vista and the others were windows 7 but had slightly lower specs, so if you plan to buy this series of toshiba laptops on ebay or something i highly recommend the s505-s2002 model and upgrade it to windows 10
