Running 2 different graphics card in a dual monitor setup gaming computer builder

Hi people, I created this account to ask some questions, so please bear with me XD

So I recently built a completely new rig with an Asus Strix GTX1080Ti in it. I still have my old PC with a MSI GTX 960 4GB OC in it, and I was wondering if I could connect it to my current rig to put it to some sort of use, I dont really want to sell it. My PSU is a SuperFlo 850W G so it probably has enough power to support both GPUs.

So here are some of my questions:

I know that it does not improve game performance as 2 different GPU's cant run in SLI. But I do know that the second GPU can be used as a dedicated PhysX card, in this case the GTX 960. What does PhysX do exactly? And is it worth it?

I have a dual monitor set up with both being 1920x1080 resolution and a 60hz refresh rate. If i were to add in the 960, do i connect 1 GPU per monitor OR both monitors to the 1080Ti and have the second GPU just there, on the motherboard without any HDMI/DVI connected to it?

If the 960 is installed, does it make things like Alt Tabbing quicker? Or any minute benefits? (WTF kind of question is that? I know..but I just wanted to know, out of curiosity)

I did search other forums about similar topics, but decided i would post it myself since I wanted slightly more specific answers. If you need any other information to answer the questions, feel free to ask! And also, thanks in advance!!
