Hello!
I have had an AOC i2367Fh 23-Inch IPS Monitor for about 2 years now but today it started acting up. I plugged my Wii into my monitor via a Wii to HDMI adapter for the first time, and I then played on my Wii for a few hours (wanted to feel some childhood nostalgia)
After playing on the Wii for a few hours, I turned off my Wii and turned on my PC (they share the same monitor) to notice that there is now this horizontal line flickering towards the top of the screen. I can see through the line, so it is not a dead pixel, but one can obvious tell that the pixels aren't correct and that there is this light flickering. This isn't a very thin line either, this line is a solid .5 inch thick.
I've tried unplugging all devices in and out of the monitor, turning the monitor and all the devices plugged into it on and off, isolating the cables so it is clear of electric interference, made my monitor auto-adjust the settings (which is like a factory reset) and the problem is still happening! During one point, there were three flickering lines on the screen at a time (one on top, one in the middle, one on the bottom), but the other 2 went away randomly. Sometimes a new flickering line will appear but go away for no apparent reason; the only line that has yet to go away is the one I had originally in the very top.
I get the same line flickering on both my Wii and PC which means it has to be the monitor, but I don't know what to do. The monitor is still under warranty but not having my monitor for 1 week+ is not possible. My Wii was plugged through a HDMI port and my computer is plugged in to the VGA port. Any advice on how to fix this?
