Help needed with a problem (no knowledge of computers or laptops) gaming computer builder

I have an asus laptop, its about 3-4 years old, and for the past year its been going to sleep on me if i pick it up and turn it the wrong way, or when im typing and push too hard on a key. If im really using my laptop then itll do it quite often. Im pretty sure its not the sleep settings cuz its set to never, but it still happens. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? My opinion is that its a short somewhere in the computer
