Flickering while using dual monitors - please help :( gaming computer builder

I've got an issue which, quite frankly, annoys me to bits and since I know the square root of jackshit of how to solve it, I thought I'd give it a go in here before I called the firm I ordered it at.

I use my main monitor for games and I like to play them in windowed mode, so I can actually use my secondary monitor for browsing memes and youtube while I play. However, when I do that - let's take Hearthstone (yes, I know) as an example, the screen starts to flicker or have some weird and incredibly annoying FPS-lags. When I enter fullscreen the issue disappears, but that also renders my secondary monitor rather useless.

I've got a dual monitor setup, with the main monitor being an ASUS ROG PG248Q and the secondary monitor being a Viewsonic VX23-something. It's an IntelCore i7-7700k CPU, 4,20GHz and 16 gigs of RAM. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card and I'm quite desperate, because my rig should be perfect as it is.. :(
