Right sub? - Is there a way to 'lock in' my share of bandwidth when I connect to my school's network in the morning? I have work to do, and the students hog the tubes with their games and videos. gaming computer builder

I'm a teacher at a high school. The school has separate login windows for teachers and students, but I suspect we are all on the same network since there's a direct correlation between how many students are present, and how slow the internet is. When I arrive in the morning, I can complete tasks with good reliability and speed. As soon as students arrive, things slow down. As soon as lunch starts and all the students are gaming or watching videos, the wifi becomes unusable. I am using the net for actual work most of the time and I think I should get priority over students who are watching YouTube videos or gaming during class.

Is this possible?

I'm a foreign teacher teaching English in a foreign country, and any discussion with the 'tech guy' or network administrator is guaranteed to be fruitless, so I'm kind of on my own here.
