I currently only a have a 1TB HDD and starting to run out of room, so I think I'm going to make the leap to a Western Digital HDD. I just wanted to know if it's worth getting the 6GB version. I'm not sure if the bigger storage HDD's have higher or lower failure rates and what not, or perform poorer than the smaller 1TB one. Or if it doesn't matter at all. I really only have room for one more.
So I'm wondering if I should just get another 1TB to be safe or if there's really no reason for concern to get a 6TB of the same brand that I already have. I don't want an SSD, I'm not interested in that at all right now. I rewrite way too much and don't need speed, but stability and longevity and more storage for the my dollar.
