I have a 2015 MacBook (the one port one). I got it as a graduation gift, and I'm still in college so I don't have enough money to get a new laptop. I have been trying to do some Photoshop and 3-D modeling and it works OK for a little bit but then the laptop gets too hot and throttles down to a crawl. The laptop itself has no cooling other than passive cooling it through the aluminum body. Would a cooling pad with fans help the throttling and any significant way? I know the ultimate solution is to get a new laptop but spending 20 bucks on a cooling pad would be far more practical for me right now.
