Wifes Mom passed looking for help to recover data off old hard Drive. gaming computer builder

We salvage a 2001 Western Digital wd300bb-00aua1 from her moms old Dell/PC in Argentina. Did not bring back the PC just the hard drive.

Would like to run recover software on it through the use of an USB adapter.

Is this possible and if so what one scan I buy and from where?
