Overheating? gaming computer builder

Hi,

Every now and then my computer will stop everything and take me to an American Megatrends DOS page. It tells me my CPU is overheated. I have the option to press F1 to go into BIOS, which I do, and it says the CPU temp is 87 degrees C. I've always just restarted the computer through BIOS when this happens. Every time I've done this, the computer restarts normally and I can then use the computer normally too, and this overheating message doesn't come up again - Until it does come up again maybe once every week at most. I do use this computer a lot, even play CPU demanding games on it, and the message has never come up during any of those games, it's only ever come up when I've left the computer on, gone to do some thing else, and when I come back the overheating message is on the screen - I've never actually been on the computer doing something while this overheating warning has come up, it only comes up when I'm not on it. Any ideas?

It's an i7-2600k.
