Help! Underperforming PC gaming computer builder

Hey guys! I recently bought a new pc, my old one finally died out and i was tight on money, so i settled with the Intel i5-7400, GTX 1050Ti (Asus), 8GB of ram, Asus prime mobo, and Kingston Hyper Fury X 8GB of RAM, if the HDD matters, its Western Digital blue 1TB.

I hyped my pc up quite a bit,watching ppl benchmark it in games like battlefield 1, or GTAV with FPS higher than 30 and possibly 40s, so i decided to try out Dota 2 myself, and the result was quite disappointing.

in Dota 2, i play with the LOWEST possible setting with 55fps, and in CSGO, i get 40 FPS for the lowest possible setting with disabled multicore rendering(to try and bump the FPS up) What do i do to improve this?
