So just this Sunday I upgraded my gaming rig to a new motherboard, processor, RAM and a 1tb M.2 SSD and did a completely fresh install of Windows 7 Pro. Anyways what's currently happening is dumbfounding me as I've never encountered or heard of anything like this happening. Basically it seems like explorer is getting bogged down by something but I can't figure out what. CPU usage is rarely above 5% and memory usage hovers around 4gb, yet opening, closing, moving windows and browsing through the file manager is slow and the animations are choppy, maybe 3fps, but everything else functions perfectly fine. I can watch videos (at least through YouTube / Twitch) with no stutter or lag, browsing the internet (and typing this post) have no performance issues, pages load quickly and games launch and run smoothly. It's just anything to do with program windows themselves or browsing through files is slower than mud, though a restart or logging off and back on will fix it for anywhere from one to five minutes. Again I've never encountered anything like this before and have been trying to figure it out myself for the past few hours, though some help would definitely be appreciated.
