Hi. I was not sure of the subreddit to post this in so maybe someone can direct me if this was the wrong place...
I was wanting to use my desktop computer from my bed because I have severe back problems.
Currently its on a standing desk but I would like to cycle back and forth between standing and lying down. I was not sure of the best way to accomplish this.
First I thought I would need a business laptop to work from bed. Then I was wondering if I could remotely control my computer with a cheap chrome book, over the wifi or something.
But the issue there is even I got it working is its actually not that comfortable to use a notebook in bed. When you're sitting up maybe but not when you're lying down. At that point it can be hard to use the mouse and keyboard with a good viewing angle of the screen, all at once, in an efficient manner.
So! This is my latest brain storm:
What if I use a wireless mouse and keyboard over bluetooth connected to my desktop PC. And then I use a 25 foot HDMI cord to connect a second monitor to my PC.
The second monitor would be on a wall mount by my bed. Then I can lie down and tilt the screen as much as I want in the perfect position over me, with the wireless mouse and keyboard where they need to be.
What do you guys think of that? Any ideas? Thank you.
