Laptop overheated, random keys no longer work. What's broken and what does it cost to fix? gaming computer builder

g, h, ESC, ', and the up arrow key no longer work after I took a nap and the computer got hot. Sounds like I fried something. Anyone know what the first thing to look at would be and how much a repair for that might cost?

It's a nice enough laptop ($900 MSRP) but it has a range of other problems. I was planning on selling it for $175 but now I'm not sure if it'll be even worth listing. Was curious if anyone here had any idea what might be wrong and if it's an expensive fix.
