Is there a way to set a sleep timer on a computer so it goes into sleep after a set amount of time while playing a movie? gaming computer builder

Movies usually keep the computer screen bright and the computer turned on. My roomate can't fall asleep without watching something and I am kinda annoyed by the thought (and noise) of his computer playing Netflix all night until he wakes up. So is there any way so that he can set a sleep timer that puts the computer to sleep mode after a given time, even if a movie is still running? thanks in advance!
