How to migrate OS from old hard drive to new? gaming computer builder

I have a Frankenstein computer in the case of my shitty old Pavilion. One of the last original components is the hard drive, a 500GB Seagate from who knows when

It finally started to give out last week so I picked up a 1TB WD Black, which I want to put the operating system on. I tried Acronis True Image to clone it but every time I restart nothing happens. I've tried using an ISO image of my hard drive and nothing happens. I'm pretty new to computers so I'm a little frustrated here.

Am I disabled?
