Have to get a internet plan with a 150GB monthly data cap. Previously was using ~1TB per month, for my family of Six. Could use some advice. gaming computer builder

Lemme preface this by saying that this is the highest data cap that I can find available for my area. Moving is not an option. I have enough money to the point where I could just throw money at the problem, and get a faster cable built out to me, but I've called around and only one ISP near me has said that's an option. And even then they said that they wouldn't be able to give me a quote because I'm "too far away"- which seems silly if I told them that money isn't an issue and I'm willing to throw money at the problem for it to go away, but whatever. We're about 3-4 miles from parts of town that have gigabit fiber optic cable.

Previously we were using 800GB-1.2TB of data per month, however now our best option is 150GB. Yeahhhh it's gonna suck. After reaching the data cap, our speeds are slowed down to "Between 1-5Mbps", aka like 0.50mbps. At that point, we're placed on a lower priority to other customers, and are slowed down during peak hours. Most of our usage is from streaming video on Netflix, Twitch, Youtube, etc, as well as downloading video games (Two family members are pretty heavy PC gamers). At 480p in netflix, that's ~24 hours of netflix, total, per month. Split between 6 of us, that's pretty lame.

Some of my questions:

  • Is there a way for me to get analytics into what devices/users are using how much internet? Could you point me in the right direction for this?
  • Can I get more than one data plan going to the same house? Say I wanted 3, 150GB plans? Do most ISPs allow this type of thing? Would this require additional hardware? Physical cables run to our house?
  • Is there software that I can use to automatically download stuff at night, when less people are using the internet so they can download faster? I know Steam has a setting to only download during certain hours, does anybody know if theres a software or something that can preload stuff like YouTube videos, to be watched in the morning, or torrent clients where you can set preferred hours?
  • Any tips for cutting down on internet usage?

I'd really appreciate some help here, thank you!
