So I set my windows 7 pc to defrag for the first time. I've had it about two years now and never defraged before. It's been running for four days straight now and is currently on pass 2: 98% relocated. Even for a first time I'm sure it shouldn't take this long.
So can I click 'stop operation' when pass 2 is done and then start defraging again later without it starting from the beginning? Will it pick up where it left off or just skip the already defraged files and jump straight to the ones that aren't?
