Technophobe here, please help? I was given a Ipad and I need it to have internet access. It shows that it is connecting to my router (Netgear) but I still have no interent access. It says I need to configure something or other? gaming computer builder

Hi. Please explain like I'm 5. I have a laptop that works perfectly off the same router. On the Ipad the connection icon is lit up and it says that the signal quality is excellent. It will open up a browser like Chrome or Opera, but when you enter the website address/search term is says 'connection not available'. HELP. I can get the I.T angels at my husband's work to do it for me, but I'd really like to suprise my hubby with my (your) prowess and do it myself. Thank you for any responses. : )
