Question about graphics cards. gaming computer builder

So, long story short I have a very basic computer that was pretty good for it's time. I've put a new hard drive and ram in it not too long ago in hopes of being able to run some games a little better. The issue now is that my graphics card is SO generic that i can't even find information about it. I want to get a new graphics card but i literally have no idea what's compatible, the last time i tried to put a new GC on my old PC and fried the power supply which caused a plethora of issues. I'm alright at computers but i'm also clueless. I've put enough money into this hunk of junk that i don't really wanna just buy a new computer. But i don't know of my GC is on board or if i can even replace it. It doesn't have to be top of the line shit, but i'd love to be able to run the overwatch and fallout 4 that just sit on my desktop taunting me. HP Pavillion Slimline S5-1224 PC Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G640 @ 2.80GHz, 2800 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 12.0 GB power supply is the basic one that came w/ the computer

i'm also a little broke but i've been saving for a new gc haha
