I need help with an external hard drive gaming computer builder

I've got a 1tb external hard drive, and it's nearly full got about 100gb left.

Anyway, I've got a folder on the drive that is corrupt, it has about 60gb of music files in the folder, yet when I hover over the folder it says it's empty (0bytes) and if I click it I get a pop up saying I need to format the drive.

I've done checkdisks, I've done defragment yet anything I do I can't get the files out of the folder.

I've tried using a program to check for any deleted files and it doesn't show up.

I'm lost with what to do, is there anything I can do?

I really hope there's something that could repair This, even if I can get in the folder and drag the files off, it's years worth of collecting music.

Can anyone help me please?
