Windows 10 boots into automatic repair but no usb gaming computer builder

I'm a computer repair tech by trade and I'm working on a client's computer with Windows 10. Its loading the automatic repair every time it starts. The problem is the usb keyboard and mouse don't work when it loads. So far I have tried: Switching ports, switching keyboards/nice Restore to an earlier point using a win10 disk - I get a msg that the restore points can't be found Bootrec.exe /fixmbr and chkdsk -r using win10 disk - still loads automatic restore Repair startup using Win10 disk - fails every time

I've made two imaged copies of the clients disk using clone disk and acronis, thinking at this point of either a recovery using win10 disk while keeping files or full reinstall. Also thinking of investing in a pc I card with ps2 ports.

Any ideas??
