So I started using an old Dell Latitude E6410 with an i7 core, quad-core processor, 160GB HDD, 4.8GB RAM, 2.67GHz max processing speed, but it's about four years old. During the last two years it was never turned on, and I installed Windows 10 on it yesterday. It works much slower than it used to (even after formatting the C drive), and I don't know why. It takes longer to open simple programs than a much less powerful laptop I have. Is it because the HDD is old and not working properly? Is the RAM bad? Is it the processors? How do I diagnose what is causing it to run slowly so I can figure out what I should replace? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Tl;Dr: Old laptop used to be powerful running slowly; I want to figure out what I can do to fix it.
