How to solid state drive? gaming computer builder

Hello, I have been meaning to get an SSD in my desktop for a while now. When I originally built the computer I forgone the SSD in favor of saving some money. I planned to get one in the future anyway. However, with all the choices in the market and the ongoing flash shortage, I have literally no idea where to go. SATA or m.2 PCIe? Reinstalling Windows (I want to start clean)? How much space? And most important, how much money?

Here's a guide to what I need: * Space for Windows at the very least (if there's excess then core applications like browser and Office)* Less than ~$100* Reputable brand (I'll let you define that one)* Amazon Prime pls
