Anytime I play a game that is more demanding my i7 3770k down clocks to 1.58 Ghz. All the temps seem normal then randomly it will just go back up to 3.58 Ghz. The pc is about 4 years old. Do you think it is time to replace thermal paste, or change cooler? Currently using a stock intel one, but I don't think temps are the issue. Any ideas?
