In Tails can an unmounted internal hard drive be infected by a usb's filesystem virus or tails bug? gaming computer builder

I've used unsafe usb flash drives (a practice I abruptly halted) both to host tails, and for interacting with data inside tails), if there was a virus in the file system of the usb flash drive is there any way it could spread to the computer hard drive assuming the hard drive wasn't mounted?

Is there any way a bug in tails could have leaked data onto the hard drive and if so, could this data contain sensitive file fragments for from the data I interacted with on tails?

I do not think that a filesystem virus could spread to the computers internal hard drive or that a tails bug could have caused a leak, (and that even if in theory there was a bug there is no way it could have leaked specific information about the files I was interacting with).

But since I live in a oppressive country (very high stakes here) I wanted to obtain a confirmation or rebuttal of these assumptions before I take them as fact.

Many thanks for any insight you may have.
