So not long ago the power in my house shut down for just a second. I was watching youtube when it happened. My monitor shut off, my speakers shut off, my computer shut off for a second, my printer started restarting, etc. But somehow, before my monitor came back on I started hearing the audio for youtube playing on my speakers and I was able to pause and unpause the video with my spacebar.
Could anyone tell me how this happened? My computer has I BIOS boot password, and it's also encrypted with full disk encryption. I know RAM takes longer than a second to completely erase, but since my decryption key is stored there I'd figure even one bit flip in the right place could mess it up.
This has happened to me before a few months ago, and I can't think of why. I don't have a UPC or anything.
