Hey everyone, so I'm starting college in the fall. I'm super excited, but I need to purchase a new laptop as my current one lasted me all through high school but is rather old at this point.
The good news is I have a scholarship with the school and I'm able to spend part of it towards a laptop. My price range is anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000. I'm comfortable buying more than what I probably need since the money has to go towards this anyway.
I have very little knowledge about "specs" and all that, but I just did some google searching to get an idea of what I might want.
I would like the device to be able to do simple things like word and power point obviously, but I would also like to be able to work in Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator. As well as being able to play games such as League of Legends and Overwatch with good performance. And most importantly I want something that will work at a nice level for years to come.
From my minimal searching I found the Alienware 17, and just wanted to get some opinions from more knowledge people. Thanks for all the help in advance.
