Can I upgrade from FX-4300 to FX-6300 without new motherboard? gaming computer builder

I'm not too into desktops or components or anything like that.. but if I am using an FX-4300, can I Just easily get a new FX-6300 processor and plop it in my desktop without having a new motherboard and just using my existing one that I got right now? They're both AMD so that's why I am asking.
